Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 7:17AM Foud this picture of my twin brother and I with Connie, my favorite babysitter of all time. I'm sure my bikini fetsih has something to do with her. As an eight year old, I had a crush on her. And that's all I remember her ever wearing.
I wish I still had those shorts I'm wearing......

Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 7:41AM I messed with all sorts of filters to get this wacky effect of the sunset at The Grand Canyon. Not that a sunset at this place isn't spectacular enough without photoshop mumbo-jumbo. The picture came out underexposed, so I messed with it. What was a sub-par photo thus became something more interesting, more viewable. Who says the camera doesn't lie?

Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 7:57AM Cloud formations, and their interaction with sunlight, create some of the most spectacular and surrealistic visions on earth. In the hours surrounding sunrise and sunset, when the low angle of the sun induces light to scatter and reflect into a veritable palette of colors, the entire sky transforms into a canvas. Late in the day, I gaze upwards, excited to see what new, unique, dynamic, and completely unrepeatable work of art I’m going to experience.

Friday, November 13, 2009 at 7:24AM I wanted to see Joshua Tree National Park so bad that I spent the night there in my car. It was November in the high desert, so the temperature dropped to below forty degrees. I didn't have much warm clothing, but I put on whatever I had, put the driver side seat back as far as I could, and tried to sleep. Waking up every few hours to start the car and blast the heat for a few minutes warmed me up long enough so I could fall back to sleep for another hour or so. I repeated this all night until the next morning, when I awoke and took some stunning sunrise shots before leaving. It was worth it.
